Residential U-drain™ is a slot trench drain designed for a large variety of drainage applications including residential garages, concrete patios, landscaping projects and other situations that only require a short run of floor drain. EASY TO MAINTAIN
- There are no grates in the floor drainage system to plug, remove and clean. The intake of the drain is its simple slot.
- If the floor drain could use a cleaning, simply insert the cleaning paddle and run it along the length of the drain to the sump pit.
- The U-drain™ features a sump pit that is designed to be plumbed out to either a weeping tile or some other form of drainage so that all drain water is disposed of efficiently.

FEATURES
SLEEK, LOW PROFILE SINGLE SLOT INTAKE
Residential U-drain™ features an ADA compliant 1/2" wide single-slot intake that is both efficient and good-looking. There are no ugly grates getting clogged and needing to be removed and cleaned. The single-slot floor drain is low-profile, blending into the surface material for a clean look in your garage or other and does not pose a hazard to foot traffic. There is not a more modern and sleek looking floor drain system on the market.
SIMPLE BOLT-TOGETHER ASSEMBLY
U-drain™ is a simple and efficient bolt-together system. Each individual section has flanges on the ends with bolt patterns that coincide with the applicable connecting flange. This makes for a simple assembly process.
EASY TO INSTALL
Residential U-drain™ is easy to install. Lay the sump pit into the trench dug for it and begin by bolting the first floor drain section to the pit. Each drain section is leveled using our E-Z Mount Brackets. A rebar length is pounded into the ground through the slot in the bracket. Once the rebar is firm and below the top floor, the drain section can be leveled up or down. Once the desired drain level is achieved, simply tighten the bracket's set screw against the rebar in order to keep the drain's position. Once all sections are bolted together, close off the opening of the drain with an End Cap. Lastly, connect your floor rebar grid to the U-drain™ using the tie-ins located on each drain section. It REALLY is that simple!
MINIMAL MAINTENANCE
U-drain™ is a trench floor drain with NO GRATES. This drastically minimizes the maintenance the drain requires with no grates to regularly remove, clean and eventually replace. To clean out U-drain™ you simply take our Cleaning Paddle, insert the paddle through the slot intake, twist it 90° so that the paddle itself is across the trench. Slide the paddle along the drain to clean out and push any debris towards and into the sump pit. That's all it takes.
DURABLE DESIGN
Residential U-drain™ is designed for long-lasting performance. Both our Galvanized and Stainless Steel finishes prevent erosion and rust even in humid climates (see White Paper). Residential U-drain™ is CSA certified in both Canada and the United States and has been tested and classified as Extra-Heavy Duty (CSA B79-08) or Special Duty (ASME 112.6.3) which means it can handle safe live loads that exceed 10,000 lbs or 1,040 psi. U-drain™ is designed to channel weight directly into the concrete surrounding it, making it as strong as your concrete slab.
GALVANIZED AND STAINLESS STEEL FINISH
In addition to our standard galvanized finish, Commercial U-drain and its components are available in Stainless Steel. For applications used in food-grade situations or highly corrosive atmospheres, Stainless Steel is an excellent choice.
OPTIONS
SUMP PITS
Residential U-drain™ Sump Pits are sized at 12"x12"x12". Single and double inlet sumps are available for multiple drainage points. Each sump features a 4.375" diameter outlet to attach PVC or other drainage means for sump discharge. Residential U-drain™ can also be connected to our Commercial Sump Pits via a special adapter plate. Commercial pits come in 18"x18"x24", 24"x24"x24" and 36"x36"x36" models.
SUMP LIDS
Residential U-drain™ offers a Checkerplate or Slotted Sump Lid option that provides a clean and crisp look to your floor drain system once installed.
SILT STRAINER
Concerned about debris settling in your Sump Pit? Not a problem! We offer a Silt Strainer Basket that allows for sediment to be collected in the sump pit and makes it simple remove and dispose of it.
GALVANIZED AND STAINLESS STEEL FINISH
