Commercial U-drain™ is a slot trench drain that is designed for large scale drainage applications ranging from farm shops to manufacturing plants; aircraft hangars and parking garages. U-drain™ is CSA certified in both Canada and the United States and is tested and approved as Extra-Heavy Duty, capable of handling over 10,000lbs of safe live load or pressure of over 1040 psi. Commercial U-drain™ is capable of providing continuous flow over long distances and is compatible with a range of options that make the drain compatible with a wide range of applications.

FEATURES

SINGLE SLOT INTAKE (NO GRATES)

Commercial U-drain™ features a 1" wide single slot that easily handles high volumes of drainage without the need for a grated surface. Unlike standard trench drains, there are no grates to get clogged, removed and cleaned. The single slot is also low-profile, blending into the surface material and does not pose a hazard to foot traffic.

LONG-LASTING DESIGN

U-drain™ is built with galvanized steel which ensures incredibly long-lasting functionality. With a standard zinc thickness of 3.9 mils, U-drain™ is rated to last 73 years before 5% rust is experienced by the product (see White Paper). Commercial U-drain™ is CSA certified in both Canada and the United States and has been tested and classified as Extra-Heavy Duty (CSA B79-08) or Special Duty (ASME 112.6.3) which means it can handle safe live loads that exceed 10,000 lbs or 1,040 psi.The breaks on the trough of U-drain™ are designed to effectively channel load directly through the drain channel and into the surrounding concrete.

PRE-SLOPED DESIGN

Commercial U-drain™ 10' sections feature a pre-sloped design (sloped at 0.05% over 10') which allows for long drain runs of up to 150' and ensures proper drainage flow over this long distance. Non-sloped 5', 3' and 1' sections are available to extend the slot drain run.

SIMPLE BOLT-TOGETHER INSTALLATION

U-drain™ is a simple and efficient bolt-together system. Each individual section has flanges on the ends with bolt patterns that coincide with the applicable connecting flange. Each flange is labeled to designate the next compatible section that can be added. This makes for a simple assembly process.

EZ-MOUNT LEVELING

U-drain™ sections feature our EZ-Mount Brackets which make it easier than ever to level a drainage system prior to the pour. A rebar length is pounded into the ground through the slot in the bracket. Once the rebar is firm and below the top floor, the drain sectioned can be leveled up or down. Once the desired level has been reached, simply tighten the set screw on the bracket against the rebar length to maintain the drains position.

EASY CLEANOUT

U-drain™ is the easiest floor drain to clean. Our Cleaning Paddle offers an efficient way to clean out your trench drain quickly. Simply insert the paddle through the slot intake, twist the paddle 90° so that the paddle itself is across the trench. Slide the paddle along the drain to clean out and push any debris towards and into the sump pit.

SUMP PITS

Commercial U-drain™ features a variety of sump sizes and configurations. Our standard sizes include 18"x18"x24", 24"x24"x24" and 36"x36"x36" with custom depths available on request. Each sump size is available with a single, double or triple inlet configuration for multiple drainage points. Each sump features a 4.5" diameter outlet to attach PVC or other drainage means for sump discharge.

OIL SEPARATOR (OSR) PITS

Oil Separator Sump configurations are available with all standard sump sizes (custom depths also available upon request). The OSR setup acts like a skimmer with an elbow connecting the initial sump to the secondary sump. As oil drains into the initial sump (which is connected to the drain sections) it rises to the top while the clean water drains through the elbow into the second sump where drainage is discharge to sanitary sewer pipes.

SUMP LIDS

Multiple sump lid styles are available for Commercial U-Drain™. Checkerplate, Slotted and Grated designs are all available (Grated lid is only available in 24" and 36" sump sizes). For OSR applications, a completely closed Checkerplate lid is available.

ANGLED SECTIONS

U-drain offers a 45° and 90° section that allows for various drainage run configurations, making U-drain™ a versatile option for situations that require changes in drainage direction. A T-Section is also available, which enables a drainage junction between two runs.

SILT STRAINERS

For applications that have plenty of solids and debris draining into the sump, a Silt Strainer Basket is available that allows for debris to be collected and separated from the liquid drainage. For heavier duty applications a sump basket is available that contains all drainage and needs to be removed and dumped on regular basis depending on drainage frequency.

FLUSH NOZZLE

A Flush Nozzle is available that is attached to the the end section of your slotted trench drain. Users are able to attach a water source to the nozzle via a 1/2" Polyethylene pipe. This setup can be used to flush the drainage system at will and send any debris into the sump in a very efficient manner.
