U-drain is an engineered slotted trench drain featuring a single slot opening that has transformed the surface drainage industry with its sleek design, low maintenance requirements, and versatile range of applications.
The core U-drain system includes pre-sloped and/or neutral sections, an adapter plate/end cap and a sump pit.
All U-drain components are bolt-together for an easy, efficient assembly and installation.

U-drain: a better floor drain
U-drain is easy to install thanks to its simple, bolt-together design. The steel construction makes it easy to place and helps maintain a straight drain line during installations, something plastic drains often struggle with.
It installs directly into the rebar grid before the concrete is poured and can even be used as a center screed during the pour. Once the concrete sets, the narrow slot sits flush with the floor, creating a sleek, low-profile intake and a clean finish.

The single-slot intake eliminates the need for traditional grates, cutting maintenance down to almost nothing. No clogged grates that need to be scrubbed and, eventually, replaced. It also minimizes the area bacteria could possibly be trapped, making U-drain a top choice for food-grade and sanitary applications.
Commercial vs. Residential
Choosing the right drainage system starts with understanding your space and its demands. Whether you’re outfitting a large commercial facility or upgrading a residential property, U-drain offers tailored solutions to match your needs.
U-drain comes in two distinct models: Commercial and Residential. Each are designed for specific performance requirements, environments, and drainage capacities.

Commercial U-drain is built to handle high drainage demands. Each sections features a built-in slope (1/2” per 9’10” section) to efficiently move water toward the sump pit, even over long distances. With runs up to 150’ possible, and non-sloped sections available to extend coverages, this system is ideal for high-traffic, heavy-duty environments. The 1” slot opening is designed to withstand tough use in settings like heavy equipment shops, aircraft hangars, loading docks, and more.

Residential U-drain is designed for smaller-scale projects where drain runs don’t exceed 30’. It features non-sloped sections and a ½” slot opening that meets ADA compliance standards. It’s a perfect match for driveways, home garages, pool areas, theme parks and other light-duty applications where clean design and reliable performance matter.
