U-DRAIN OVERVIEW

U-drain is an engineered slotted trench drain that features a single slot opening that has revolutionized

the surface drainage industry with its minimal maintenance, sleek look and ability to be used in a wide range of applications.

The basic U-drain floor drain system consists of pre-sloped and/or neutral sections, an adapter plate/end cap and a sump pit. All U-drain components are bolt-together in order to provide user-friendly assembly and installation.

WHY U-DRAIN IS A BETTER FLOOR DRAIN.

U-drain is easy-to-install with its simple, bolt-together design. Its steel construction makes U-drain easy to place and maintain a straight drain line during installation. Cut down on your labor costs compared to alternative plastic floor drains that tend to warp or crack. U-drain is installed into a floor grid prior to the concrete being poured. It connects directly to the rebar grid. The slot drain can even be used as a center screed when pouring concrete. Once the concrete has been poured, the narrow slot opening is level with the floor, creating an aesthetically pleasing low-profile intake that is unique compared to other floor drain systems.

The slot intake of U-drain eliminates the need for traditional grates, dramatically minimizing maintenance. There are NO grates to get clogged, painfully clean and eventually replace. The single slot also minimizes area in which bacteria can be trapped which makes U-drain an excellent solution for applications that require food-grade cleanliness.

WHAT TYPE OF U-DRAIN DO I NEED?

U-drain floor drain systems are available in two models: Commercial and Residential. Both models are unique in design and intended drainage application.

Commercial U-drain features a sloped section design (1/2" of slope per 9'10" section). This sloped design effectively channels drainage to the sump pit over long distances with up to 150' drain runs possible (non-sloped sections are available to help lengthen longer drain runs). Commercial U-drain features a 1" slot opening and is designed to handle heavy traffic in applications such as heavy equipment shops, aircraft hangars, loading docks and more.

Residential U-drain is designed with non-sloped sections as it is intended for short drain runs (no more than 30' long). With a 1/2" slot opening, Residential U-drain is ADA compliant and is perfect for applications such as home garages, poolsides, theme parks and more.
