Landscape U-drain is a low-profile, slotted trench drain designed to effectively capture and contain surface water in outdoor environments.
The 1/2" slot opening blends in your surface and is a great alternative to traditional drains that could become a potential tripping hazard. Landscape U-drain sits flush with concrete or patio stones, ensuring your space is safe for foot traffic.

EASY TO INSTALL
Depending on your application, you can either cast Landscape U-drain in concrete or have it installed directly on packed gravel. Bolt-together sections allow for quick and seamless installation.
MINIMAL MAINTENANCE
System maintenance is simple with the Cleaning Paddle. Insert the paddle through the slotted opening, twist 90° and drag it along the trench for cleanout.

Landscape U-drain delivers a clean, refined finish to any application, with a discreet ½” slot opening that blends into any surface while remaining safe for foot traffic.
BUILT TO LAST
U-drain is constructed from galvanized steel for long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance. With a standard zinc thickness of 3.9 mils, it’s rated to last up to 73 years before showing even 5% rust (see White Paper for details).
BARELY THERE DESIGN
Landscape U-drain comes in 1', 3', and 5' non-sloped sections and is equipped with a 1/2" opening.
All U-drain systems are cast in concrete or patio stones, leaving only the single slot opening is visible, so your space looks just as you intended.
SIMPLE BOLT-TOGETHER INSTALLATION
U-drain is designed for fast, straightforward assembly. Each section features end flanges with pre-drilled bolt patterns that align perfectly with the next compatible piece. Flanges are clearly labeled to guide the installation process, making it easy to connect sections in the correct order.
EZ-MOUNT LEVELING
U-drain sections come equipped with our EZ-Mount Brackets, making it easy to level the drain system before the concrete pour. Simply drive a length of rebar into the ground through the bracket slot. Once the rebar is firmly set below the finished floor height, you can raise or lower the drain section as needed. When the correct level is reached, just tighten the set screw against the rebar to lock the drain in place. It’s quick, precise, and built for jobsite efficiency.
EASY CLEANOUT
U-drain is designed with maintenance in mind, making it one of the easiest floor drains to clean. Our custom Cleaning Paddle allows for quick, effective cleanout without removing any covers or grates. Just insert the paddle through the slot intake, twist it 90° so it spans the drain channel, and slide it along the trench to push debris towards the sump pit. That’s it!
OPTIONS
SUMP PITS
Landscape U-drain offers a range of sump sizes and configurations to suit any drainage layout. Standard sizes include 18”x18”x24”, 24”x24”x24”, 36”x36”x36”, with custom depths available upon request. Each sump is available in single, double, or triple inlet configurations to accommodate multiple drag lines. All sump pits feature a 4.5” diameter outlet compatible with PVC or other discharge systems to efficiently remove water.
OIL SEPARATOR (OSR) PITS
Oil Separator (OSR) configurations are available for all standard sump sizes, and custom depths are available upon request. The OSR system works like a skimmer, using an elbow connection between the primary and the secondary sump pits. As a runoff enters the initial sump (connected to the drain sections), oil naturally rises to the surface while cleaner water flows through the elbow to the second sump. From there, it’s safely discharged to sanitary sewer lines.
SUMP LIDS
Landscape U-drain offers a variety of sump lid styles to suit different environments and drainage needs. Choose from Checkerplate, Slotted, or Grated designs (grated lids available for 24” and 36” sump sizes only). For Oil Separator (OSR) setups, a fully enclosed Checkerplate lid is available to contain and manage fluid separation effectively.
ANGLED SECTIONS
U-drain offers 45° and 90° angled sections to accommodate changes in drainage direction, perfect for layouts that aren’t just straight lines. A T-section is also available, allowing you to create junctions between multiple drain runs. These options make U-drain a versatile solution for complex drainage configurations.
SILT STRAINERS
In applications where solids or debris regularly enter the drainage system, U-drain offers a Silt Strainer Basket to capture and separate debris from liquid flow before it reaches the outlet. For heavy duty use, a full sump basket is also available. This option contains all collected material and can be easily removed and emptied as needed – ideal for high-frequency or high-volume drainage scenarios.
FLUSH NOZZLE
For added convenience, U-drain offers a Flush Nozzle attachment for the end of the system. Connect a water source using a ½” polyethylene pipe, and flush the drain on demand, quickly pushing debris toward the center sump for easy removal. This is a simple, effective way to keep your drainage system clear and performing at its best.
GALVANIZED AND STAINLESS STEEL FINISH
In addition to our standard galvanized finish, Landscape U-drain is also available in Stainless Steel. This option is ideal for food-grade applications, high-moisture environments or areas exposed to highly corrosive conditions. When hygiene and durability are critical, Stainless Steel provides long-lasting performance without the compromise.
